UNICAL Issues Urgent Hostel Allocation Revocation Notice - Deadline October 21

The University of Calabar (UNICAL) has issued an urgent notice to students regarding hostel accommodation allocations. According to the Students Affairs Division, all students must complete their hostel fee payments by a strict deadline or risk losing their allocation.

Payment Deadline

The deadline for hostel payment is midnight on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. This applies to all students who were successful in the first hostel allocation list.

Consequences of Missing the Deadline

Students who fail to make payment by the deadline will face serious consequences:

• Their hostel allocation will be automatically revoked
• Their names will be removed from the allocation list
• The vacated spaces will be reassigned to other students who are ready to pay

What You Should Do

If you're on the first allocation list and haven't paid:

1. Log into the UNICAL student portal immediately
2. Generate your hostel payment invoice
3. Complete payment through the designated bank channels
4. Ensure payment reflects before midnight on October 21
