Latest: AAU Issues Notice on Biometric Capturing, Extends Deadline

Following the completion of phase 4 exercise at the Faculty levels, it was noted that some students are yet to be captured. Therefore, Management have extended deadline for biometric capturing of all students till 10th of March, 2024. Students who are yet to be captured are by this publication mandated to proceed to Intelligent Access Unit located at Cordelia Agbebaku Auditorium for immediate capturing.

Note: Biometric verification will be used as means of identification and attendance during the second semester examination starting from 18th March, 2024.

Students not duly captured and verified will not be granted access to examination halls. This exercise is for all students excluding final year/graduating students. The above is for the information of all students in the University, please.

Management of the Ambrose Alli University has released the scheduled date for Biometric registration exercise of the 100 level students and Direct Entry students.

The Biometric Exercise has been scheduled to kick-start from Wednesday 1st February 2023 to Monday 20th February 2023. The schedule date for each Faculty and the stipulated time and venue has been stated in the image below.

The above is for the information of all admitted students in the 2021/2022 academic session for both 100 level and Direct Entry students.

NOTE: This is the last scheduled for all affected students as they may not have access to write the Mid semester test for this second semester without the access card.


Earlier: AAU Notice to Newly Admitted Students on Compulsory Short Online Certificate Courses

In order to improve the academic culture, enhance capacity building and introduce online learning methods for students of Ambrose Alli University in line with global best practices, the Senate of the Ambrose Alli University at its 319th regular meeting approved the commencement of the Short online certificate course program also referred to as e-studies (e-ST) as part of the training process for Students of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma effective from March 1st, 2022.

As part of the students’ orientation process, all newly admitted students are required to visit the e-learning portal of the University (aauekpoma.dexuni.com) to enroll for the course(s) of their choice while awaiting resumption on campus. This is mandatory.

The List of the e-ST courses are into three categories:

  1. Soft skill courses
  2. IT/Software courses
  3. Professional courses

The details of the various courses in each category and the course curriculum are available on the e-learning portal (aauekpoma.dexuni.com).

The Senate also approved the following registration fees for the e-ST courses as follows:

  1. A fee of ten thousand (N10,000:00) only for students enrolling only one (1) of the short online certificate courses.
  2. A fee of five thousand naira (N5,000:00) only  per course for students offering more than one of the short online certificate courses.

All payments are to be made on the e-learning portal.

An e-certificate will be issued on successful completion of any course. The e-certificate will be required for subsequent post admission processes and documentation.

The University administration will continue to ensure that students of this great University get the requisite skills and training for their future endeavors.
