ABU Screening Schedule for New Students 2025/2026: Phase 1 and Phase 2 Dates
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has announced the certificate screening and verification schedule for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 academic session. The process will take place in two phases, with Phase 1 starting December 1, 2025.
Screening Schedule
Phase 1
Dates: December 1-15, 2025
First batch of newly admitted students will undergo screening during this period.
Phase 2
Start Date: January 6, 2026
Additional screening sessions for remaining students and any who couldn't complete Phase 1.
Document Upload Requirements
Students must upload scanned copies of all required documents to the University Post-UTME portal:
JAMB Documents
- JAMB result slip
- JAMB admission letter
Personal Documents
- NIN slip (National Identification Number)
- Certificate of indigene from local government
- Birth certificate
Academic Credentials
- O'Level results (WAEC, NECO, or equivalent)
- Result verification scratch cards or PINs required
- A'Level credentials for Direct Entry candidates
- Original certificates must be presented (or certified true copies if originals unavailable)
Additional Documents
- Attestation letters or affidavits (if applicable)
- Any other documents specified by your faculty
After Successful Screening
Once screening is complete, students should:
- Access the ABU student portal
- Generate REMITA payment slips for school charges
- Make payment through approved channels
- Print admission letter from the portal
- Reserve bed space (if accommodation is needed)
Critical Warning: No Bed Space Trading
The university strictly prohibits bed space transactions. Students caught trading allocated bed spaces will face penalties. Only use official channels for accommodation.
