Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Revises Certificate Fees from January 2026

Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic has announced revised certificate processing fees effective January 1, 2026. The new fee structure was approved following management-student consultations on July 23, 2025.

New Certificate Fee Structure

National Diploma (ND) Programme:

• Certificate Fee: ₦18,000

Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme:

• Certificate Fee: ₦27,000

Implementation Date

Effective From: Wednesday, January 1, 2026

Students completing their programmes before January 2026 will pay current fees. Those collecting certificates from January 1, 2026 onwards will pay the new rates.

Background

The fee revision followed a meeting between institutional management and student representatives on July 23, 2025. The consultation process ensured student input in the decision-making process.

What Students Should Know

For Current Students:

• If graduating before January 2026, current fees apply
• Plan certificate collection timing based on fee structure
• Ensure all clearances completed for prompt certificate issuance

For Incoming Students:

• Factor new certificate fees into total programme costs
