Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic Appoints Dr. Akanimo E. Jonah as Acting Rector

Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua has announced the appointment of Dr. Akanimo E. Jonah as the Acting Rector of the institution. The appointment takes effect following the completion of the tenure of the former Rector.

About the New Acting Rector

Dr. Akanimo E. Jonah previously served as the Deputy Rector of the polytechnic before assuming the acting leadership role. His appointment comes after Dr. Moses C. Umobong completed his second term as Rector of the institution.

Official Announcement

The appointment was approved by the Honourable Commissioner for Education. A circular dated November 27, 2025, signed by the Acting Registrar, Mr. Godswill E. Udofah, conveyed the information to the polytechnic community.
