This this to inform the general public that, in consideration of a number of candidates who in their JAMB choose BASUG as institution of first choice but could not do online screening, the screening portal is opened for one week to avail them opportunity for consideration.

However, the candidates should note that there are no available slots in the following programmes.

• a) Doctor of Pharmacy
• b) Law
• c) All programmes in Basic Medical Sciences

Prospective candidates are therefore advised to consider screening for other courses apart from the exempted ones.

All applicants are also to note that.

1. The physical screening for candidates shortlisted in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd batch of admission is still ongoing.

2. Candidates given courses different from those applied are advised to do the change of course immediately at JAMB portal.

3. Candidates that are yet to upload their SSCE at JAMB portal should do so.

BASUG Post UTME / Direct Entry Screening Announcement

Bauchi State University (BASU) Post UTME Screening for the 2023/2024 session has been announced. BASU Post UTME form, registration, cut-off mark, eligibility application form cost, and screening procedure for 2023/2024 academic session have been announced by the authorities of the university. The required cut-off mark is 140. The application cost is ₦2000.

This is to inform all prospective candidates into Bauchi State University Gadau that the online screening exercise for 2022/2023 admissions has  been announced. All prospective candidates into the various programmes of the University who have scored 140 points and above in their 2023 JAMB/UTME should visit the University’s website at https://basug_screened.admissions.cloud/ for the screening procedure.

Online screening commences on Wednesday 19th, July 2023.

When filling out the screening forms, candidates awaiting their O ‘Level results are required to indicate clearly AWAITING RESULT (AR) in the grades column of the forms. Once such results are released by the examination bodies, they are required to make them available for sighing during physical screening.

Eligibility:

To be eligible for admission, a candidate must have:

1. Scored a minimum of 140 points in the 2023 UTME examination;
2. Obtained a minimum of five (5) relevant credits at O’ level (including English and Mathematics);
3. Sat for the relevant UTME subject combination in the 2023 JAMB examination;
4. Direct Entry (DE) candidates shall in addition to the minimum of five (5) O’ level relevant credits, (including English and Mathematics) must have scored a minimum of 7 points in IJMB or NCE and at least lower credit in ND.

The Bauchi State University which started  its first academic session in 2011/2012 was commissioned on 3rd November 2013 by His Excellency the Vice President, Arch. Muhammad Namadi Sambo, GCON.

The Bauchi State University has three campuses as follows:

Gadau Campus: This is the main campus where the University is centrally administered. Two faculties located here are the Faculty of Arts & Education and the Faculty of Science. Bauchi Campus: The Faculty of Social & Management Sciences is situated here. Misau Campus: This houses the Faculty of Law.
