BUK Extends Hostel Closure Date to March 24, 2026
Bayero University Kano (BUK) has announced an extension of the hostel closure date. Students now have until March 24, 2026 to vacate the university hostels.

Why the Extension?
The hostel closure date has been extended by two weeks following a decision by the Deanery of Students to accommodate students after examinations conclude.
Instructions for All Residents
- Complete all activities and vacate hostels by March 24, 2026
- Ensure your room and belongings are properly secured before departure
Special Categories of Students
Students participating in any of the following programs should take note:
- SIWES (Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme)
- Industrial Training
- Teaching Practice
- Other approved academic programs
If you fall into any of these categories, you must visit the Deanery of Student Affairs for reapplication and/or registration to continue staying in the hostel.
Important Requirement for Future Bed Space
Students must obtain clearance letters from their respective department heads before being considered for future bed space allocation.
