BUK Reopens Postgraduate Application Portal for 2024/2025 Session

Bayero University Kano (BUK) has given prospective postgraduate students a second chance to complete their applications for the 2024/2025 academic session. The university reopened its online application portal from Tuesday, August 12 to Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Who Should Apply?

This reopening benefits two groups of applicants:

• New applicants who missed the initial application window (December 2024 - May 2025)
• Previous applicants who started but couldn't complete their submissions

Available Programs

BUK accepts applications for all postgraduate levels:

• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD)
• Master's Degree programs
• Doctoral (PhD) programs

Application Requirements

Before starting your application, prepare the following documents in digital format:

• Academic transcripts from previous institutions
• NYSC discharge certificate or exemption letter
• Reference letters from academic supervisors
• Valid identification documents

How to Apply

Follow these steps to complete your BUK postgraduate application:

1. Visit the official portal at mybuk2.buk.edu.ng/cpsforms2024
2. Click on "Applicants" on the homepage
3. Login using your full name and select "Applying for Postgraduate Program"
4. Generate your username and password
5. Pay the application fee of ₦12,000
6. Return to the portal and complete all required forms:
   • Programme Selection Form
   • Personal Data Form
   • Qualifications Form
7. Upload all supporting documents
8. Submit your application before the August 19 deadline
