Male undergraduate students in Nigerian higher institutions can enter the 2026 Chidera Anushiem Essay Competition organised by Boys Without Borders Nigeria to win up to ₦70,000, mentorship, and a spot at a national conference.
Male undergraduate students in Nigerian higher institutions now have a chance to win cash prizes, mentorship, and a spot at a national conference through the 2026 Chidera Anushiem Essay Competition. The competition is organised by Boys Without Borders Nigeria (BWB NG) in partnership with Writinova and supported by Mr. Chidera Anushiem.
Participants will write on the topic: "Equality Begins at Home: How Family and Upbringing Shape Attitudes Toward Gender."
The theme invites male undergraduates to reflect on how early life experiences, family dynamics, and cultural expectations influence how young Nigerian men think about gender equality.
Members of Boys Without Borders Nigeria and its campus networks are not eligible to enter.
Selected writers from the top ten will also be invited to a conference where final winners will be chosen.
The competition is open from April 4 to April 22, 2026. Late entries will not be accepted, so submit well before the closing date.

Beyond the cash prizes, this competition gives male undergraduates a platform to shape important conversations around gender equality while building writing, research, and public-speaking skills through mentorship and the final conference experience.
