The Management of Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu wishes to inform prospective candidates and the general public that the sales of application forms for admission into various National Diploma (ND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) programmes of the College for the 2015/2016 academic session has recommenced.

How to Apply For College of Agriculture Ishiagu ND / HND Admission

Prospective Candidates should visit any branch of Skye Bank PLC nearest to them and purchase application PIN at the cost of NGN5000.00 (five thousand naira) only. A bank charge of NGN500 (five hundred naira) only will apply.

Admission into the College is open to all qualified candidates irrespective of religion, ethnic group, gender, race/creed, disability or political inclination.

• Log on to the College Portal with your admission PIN and registration Code.
• Fill the Online Application Form.
• Print a copy of the processed form and submit same alongside photocopies of your JAMB Result (where applicable), O-level credentials and other supporting documents/certificates to the Admissions Office of Federal College of Agriculture Ishiagu. Candidates may also courier these documents in a sealed envelope addressed to the Admissions Officer, Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu, Ivo LGA, Ebonyi State, Nigeria.

About Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu

Federal College of Agriculture, Ishiagu formerly known as School of Agriculture was originally established at Umudike near Umuahia (about a hundred kilometres from its present site) in 1955 by the then Eastern Nigeria Government. At this location the College occupied 52 hectares of land.

In 1964, it was amalgamated with the Agricultural Research and Training Station, (ARTS) Umudike . The school was financed by the former Eastern Nigeria Government until the outbreak of the Nigeria/Biafra civil war of 1967. In 1972, the institution assumed federal status as the Federal Agricultural Research and Training Station (FARTS). On 1st April 1976, FARTS was renamed National Root Crops Research Institute (NRCRI) Umudike with the school as the training wing.

In 1989, the school received initial accreditation by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE). Following the accreditation, the school became known as Federal College of Agriculture Umudike. The college was granted administrative autonomy by the Federal Government in 1991 and became funded directly and supervised by the Federal Ministry of Science and Technology with a Governing Board.
