COOU Combined Convocation Ceremony: Dates, Fees, and Requirements for 2019-2024 Graduates

Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University is preparing for a combined convocation ceremony to honor graduates from five academic sessions: 2019/2020 through 2023/2024. The ceremony coincides with the university's Silver Jubilee (25th Anniversary) celebration.

Pre-Convocation Events: May 17-18, 2025
Main Convocation Week: May 20-24, 2025
Convocation Ceremony: Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM

Convocation Fees

• First Degree (Bachelor's): ₦25,000
• Postgraduate Diploma (PGD): ₦70,000
• Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D): ₦70,000

Each graduate can register two guests to attend the ceremony. Payment must be completed by May 15, 2025 through the university portal at portal.coou.edu.ng using the Sunday payment system.

What Graduates Need to Know

Dress Code: Males must wear full formal attire (suit and tie). Females should wear formal skirts and blouses. Academic gowns will be collected from your faculty or school.

Gown Return: Return your academic gown by May 26, 2025. Late returns incur a ₦5,000 daily penalty.

Who Should Attend: All graduates from the 2019/2020, 2020/2021, 2021/2022, 2022/2023, and 2023/2024 academic sessions are invited. Parents, guardians, alumni, friends, and stakeholders are also welcome.
