DELSU Notice: Candidates Admitted on JAMB but Not on School Portal Should Wait

Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka has issued a notice to candidates who have been admitted on the JAMB portal but are not yet showing on the university’s admission portal. The institution is working to resolve the synchronization issue.

The Issue

Some candidates from the following batches have experienced portal discrepancies:

• UTME 2nd Batch
• UTME 3rd Batch
• Direct Entry 1st Batch
• Direct Entry 2nd Batch

These candidates received admission offers through JAMB’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) but their status is not yet reflected on DELSU’s institutional portal.

University’s Response

The DELSU Admissions Office, through PAR (Admissions) Emaniru Steeforth Ovie, has confirmed:

1. The issue is technical - It’s a synchronization problem between JAMB and DELSU systems
2. Resolution is underway - The university is working to fix the discrepancy
3. Candidates should be patient - The situation is being addressed

Do:

• Check the DELSU portal regularly - Your status will be updated once synchronized
• Keep your JAMB admission letter - This remains proof of your admission
• Monitor official announcements - Watch DELSU’s website and social media
• Stay calm - The university is aware and working on it

• Don’t panic - Your admission is secure if it shows on JAMB
• Don’t pay anyone claiming to “fix” your portal status
