Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki, is inviting applications for the Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) programme for the 2026/2027 academic session. The IJMB is a one-session pre-degree programme that awards an IJMB certificate used for Direct Entry admission into 200 level at EBSU and other universities.

The IJMB route is a recognised alternative to JAMB/UTME for Direct Entry admission into many university programmes. Successful candidates may gain admission into 200 level into programmes such as Medicine & Surgery, Nursing Science, Pharmacy, Medical Laboratory Science, Law, Political Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Architecture and others, depending on performance and departmental requirements.
Duration
The IJMB academic programme runs for a minimum of one academic session comprising two semesters.
Entry Qualification
- Minimum of five (5) O'level credit passes including English Language and Mathematics.
- Acceptable certificates: SSCE, NECO, GCE or NABTEB, obtained in one or two sittings.

Application Fee and Payment
The application form costs Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000.00) — non-refundable.

An acceptance fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15,000.00) is payable only after an offer of admission has been made.
How to Obtain and Process the Form
- Make the payment of N20,000 to the bank account shown above and keep evidence/receipt of payment.
- Proceed to the IJMB Office at the Pre-Degree Complex, College of Applied Sciences (CAS), EBSU with your payment evidence to collect and complete the form.
- Follow the IJMB office instructions for form processing, submission of supporting documents and registration.
