Admission Requirements

For UTME Applicants (100-Level)

To be eligible for Post-UTME screening, you must have:

  • Minimum of five (5) credit passes in SSCE/GCE O-Level examinations
  • Required subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
  • Results from WAEC, NECO, or equivalent examinations
  • Maximum of two (2) sittings allowed
  • Valid JAMB UTME score

Note: Candidates may be required to attend an interview to assess their suitability for medical education.

For Direct Entry Applicants (MBBS)

Direct Entry into the MBBS program requires ONE of the following qualifications:

Option 1: Bachelor's Degree

  • Second Class Lower (2.2) or better from a recognized university
  • Degree must be in one of these fields:
    • Basic Medical Sciences
    • Nursing Sciences
    • Physiotherapy
    • Biological Sciences
    • Zoology

Option 2: A-Level or HSC

  • GCE A-Level or Higher School Certificate passes in:
    • Biology or Zoology
    • Chemistry
    • Physics or Mathematics

Option 3: JUPEB

  • Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) passes in:
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Physics or Mathematics

Important: All Direct Entry applicants must also meet the O'Level requirements listed above.

For Transfer Applicants

Students from other institutions wishing to transfer to EkoUniMed must:

  • Have a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 or higher
  • Provide a printed and verified transcript from their current institution
  • Meet all other admission requirements
