EKSCOTECH Launches 5 New Programmes, Receives NBTE Accreditation for 5 Others

The National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) has approved five new programmes at the Ekiti State College of Technology, Ijero (EKSCOTECH) and granted full accreditation to five existing programmes. The new programmes will commence in the 2025/2026 academic session.

Five New Programmes Approved

1. ND Medical Laboratory Technology
2. ND Orthopedic Cast Technology
3. ND Health Education and Promotion
4. ND Medical Imaging Technology
5. HND Networking and Cloud Computing

Five Programmes Accredited

1. ND Dental Surgery
2. ND Dental Therapy
3. ND Community Health
4. ND Public Health Technology
5. ND Paramedics

Background

The approval followed a resource inspection by the NBTE conducted on December 9–10, 2025. A letter signed by the NBTE's Acting Director of the Nursing and Health Sciences Programmes Department, Pharm. Ibrahim Salihu, confirmed the authorisation for the new programmes.

EKSCOTECH Rector Dr. Olufemi Olubamise applauded the NBTE's thorough inspection process and reaffirmed the institution's commitment to quality education and producing skilled graduates.
