The Enugu State Scholarship and Education Loans Board (ESSELB) has officially launched the 2025 Scholarship Awards Scheme. Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah has endorsed this programme, which provides funding support across three categories for Enugu State indigenes.

Available Scholarship Categories

Undergraduate Scholarship (500 Slots)

This category targets students currently in 100 or 200 level at recognized Nigerian tertiary institutions. Five hundred slots are available for qualifying candidates.

Teachers Scholarship (1,000 Slots)

One thousand slots are reserved for indigenous teachers working in Enugu State Government schools. Recipients pursuing master's degrees must commit to teaching for 10 years after completing their studies.

Postgraduate Scholarship (100 Slots)

This category offers 100 slots for master's and doctoral students enrolled at Nigerian universities.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants across all categories must:

  • Be confirmed Enugu State indigenes
  • Possess valid admission letters for the 2025/2026 academic session
  • Teachers must provide valid employment documentation
  • Submit all required documents before deadlines
