Fed Poly of Oil and Gas Bonny Gets NBTE Accreditation for 5 New Programmes

The Fed Poly of Oil and Gas Bonny has gotten accreditation from NBTE for its five new programmes. Details are as follows;

The National Board for Technical Education, NBTE, has granted approval and accreditation of Five Programmes of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny for a period of five years with effect from 2023/2024 academic session.

This was contained in a letter dated Thursday 10th August, 2023 and signed by the Director of Programmes, Ach. Ngbede Ogoh on behalf of the Executive Secretary of NBTE, Prof. Idris Muhammad Bugaje.

The approved programmes include; National Diploma in Petroleum Marketing and Business Studies, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technology, Industrial Safety and Environmental Engineering Technology and Statistics.

It further disclosed that admission of students into the accredited programmes must not exceed the class stream indicated in the actions, noting that the accredited programmes will be due for another quality assurance visitation by the end of September 2028.

The Acting Rector of the Polytechnic, Mr Benjamin Job Anyebe, described the accreditation exercise as a milestone achievement as other programmes are already lined up for accreditation.

He added that the Polytechnic is geared towards achieving quality academic programmes aimed at producing graduates that will be able to compete with their peers globally.
