Federal Unity Colleges resumed on 14 September 2026. Learn how to spot fake circulars, verify official notices and follow trusted school channels.

Federal Unity Colleges Resumption: Official Date and Fake Circular Warning

Federal Unity Colleges were scheduled to resume academic activities on Monday, 14 September 2026. A few days before that date, a fake circular began spreading online and claimed that the holiday had been extended by three weeks.

The Federal Ministry of Education has now made the position clear: the circular did not come from the Ministry. It also confirmed that there was no directive moving resumption to 4 October 2026.

What the fake circular claimed

The document was dated 8 September 2026 and used an official-looking reference number. It claimed that Federal Unity Colleges would not resume until 4 October. The Ministry said that the reference, directive and named signatory were not genuine.

This is why an official-looking PDF is not enough. A logo, reference number and signature can all be copied.

How to check a school notice

  1. Find the original source. Look for the notice on the Ministry’s established website or verified communication channels, not only in a WhatsApp group.
  2. Check the date and wording. Compare the notice with the latest announcement from the school or agency. A forwarded message may be old, edited or missing important pages.
  3. Ask the school to confirm. Contact the college through a known phone number, portal or parent communication channel. Do not rely on a new number inside a suspicious circular.
  4. Do not forward uncertainty. If a notice could change travel, fees, boarding arrangements or attendance, pause and verify it before sharing.

What parents and students should do

Parents should keep the college’s verified contact details and check for updates directly from the school. Students should follow the instructions already issued by their college unless a later notice comes through a trusted official channel.

The Ministry has asked families and school staff to remain vigilant and verify announcements before acting on them. You can read the official Ministry clarification for the full details.

A simple rule for future notices

Before you pack a bag, change a travel plan or tell an entire class to stay at home, ask one question: “Where is the original notice?” If the answer is only “someone sent it to me,” verification is still needed.
