FG Dissolves UNIPORT And OAU Governing Councils

OAU & UNIPORT’s Governing council has been dissolved by the Federal Government of Nigeria.

The Federal Government of Nigeria, through the Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu has announced the dissolution of the Governing Council of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) and University of Port harcourt (UNIPORT).

This announcement was made yesterday on the network news of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). This followed the agitation that followed the appointment of new VC’s in the institutions. The announcement equally directs the immediate suspension of the appointment of VCs in the institutions.
