Federal University Dutse Appoints Professor Ahmad Mohammed Gumel as New Vice-Chancellor

The Federal University Dutse (FUD) has appointed Professor Ahmad Mohammed Gumel as its new substantive Vice-Chancellor, effective February 10, 2026. The appointment was made by the university's 4th Governing Council following a rigorous selection process.

According to the Governing Council Chairman, Professor Shuaibu Oba Abdulraheem, Professor Gumel emerged as the most qualified candidate after a meticulous selection process that interviewed 21 applicants. The Council expressed confidence that his appointment will sustain and advance the university's developmental trajectory.
