FUHSO Governing Council Appoints Two Deputy Vice Chancellors
The Federal University of Health Sciences, Otukpo (FUHSO) has announced the appointment of two Deputy Vice Chancellors following approval by the university's 3rd Governing Council.
Appointed Officers
Professor Godwin Friday Okibe has been appointed as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic). In this role, he will be responsible for leading academic policy formulation, curriculum development, and research innovation at the institution.
Professor Omaile Cecilia Ojabo has been appointed as the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration). She will oversee institutional governance, operational management, and staff welfare matters.
Appointment Process
The appointments were confirmed on September 15, 2025, following earlier selection by the University Senate. Vice-Chancellor Professor Francis Aba Uba nominated both candidates in accordance with Section 4 of the First Schedule of the University Law (2022).
