Federal University Lokoja Appoints Professor Gbenga Ibileye as 4th Vice-Chancellor

The 4th Governing Council of Federal University Lokoja (FULOKOJA) has appointed Professor Gbenga Ibileye as the institution's 4th Vice-Chancellor, effective February 15, 2026. The appointment followed a transparent and highly competitive selection process.

Selection Process

The appointment was approved by the Governing Council, chaired by Professor Zubairu Tajo Abdallah. Professor Ibileye emerged as the top candidate among eleven shortlisted applicants following a rigorous interview exercise.

Outstanding Performance

Professor Ibileye scored 91.9 points, the highest among all candidates in the selection interview. The Governing Council described the process as "transparent, merit-based and highly competitive," ensuring the best candidate was selected for the position.
