FUOYE SUG Issues Notice to Transportation Fees Within Campus

The Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) Student Union of Government (SUG) has issued an important notice to all students on the transportation fees within campus. The notice reads;

We hope this letter find you in high spirit and high preparation the first semester exam. In the bid of the VISIONAIRES to prevent our students from being extorted, and commitment to ensure the financial burden on on the students’ populace is eased. The VISIONAIRES Director of Transport, member of his committee, member of the SUSC in-house transport committee, and representative of the university management, engaged in a meeting with the representatives of the transporters associations which include the N.U.R.T.W, R.T.E.A.N and T.O.A.N in order to reach an agreement and regulate the transit prices from various pickup points to our destination in and within our university environment during the examination period.

During the meeting the following transit prices were agreed upon;

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ON TRANSPORTATION

1. Idofin Irare – phase 1= 300 Naira.

2 Idofin Irare – Phase 2= 300 Naira.

3. dofin Irare – Phase 3=350 Naira.

4. School Junction – Phase 1= 250 Naira.

5. School Junction – Phase 2- 250 Naira.

6. School Junction – Phase 3= 300 Naira.

7. Faalex – Phase 2 & 3 = 250 Naira.

8. Phase 1 – Phase 2 = 150 Naira.

9. Phase 1 – Phase 3 = 200 Naira.

10. School Junction – ICT Center – 200 Naira.

11. Falex – ICT Center = 250 Naira.

12. Phase 1 – ICT Center = 300 Naira.

13. Phase 2 – ICT Center =300 Naira.

14. Phase 3 – ICT Center = 350 Naira.

Additionally, to prevent delay, it is advisable for students tender cash, as we know it’s exam period and phones are not allowed at the exam centers. Incase you are to make transfer, such should be done as soon as the shuttle move, so as to avoid any form of delay or traffic on the road. Please take note of this changes,as they are effective with immediate effect.

Moreso, it is crucial to note that the aforementioned price-list exclusively applies to shuttle buses, cabs, and tricycles.

Students who intend to utilize motorcycles are strongly advised to engage in price negotiations to ensure they pay the minimum rate, thereby safeguarding themselves against potential extortion.

We wish you best of luck in your examination and the VISIONAIRES would continue to ensure that there’s availability of safe and sound means of transportation during the period of examination.
