The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) will hold its 36th Convocation Ceremony from November 7-15, 2025. The nine-day event features academic ceremonies, religious services, cultural activities, and the formal conferment of degrees.

• 10:00 AM - Press Briefing at T. I. Francis Auditorium
• 2:30 PM - Jumu'at Service at FUTA Central Mosque, Obanla

Sunday, November 9

• 8:00 AM - Interdenominational Service at St. Albert Catholic Church

Monday, November 10

• 3:00 PM - Excellence and Productivity Award Ceremony at Afen Adebayo Multipurpose Hall

Tuesday, November 11

• 10:00 AM - Career Talk at T. I. Francis Auditorium
• 10:00 AM - Exhibition at Afen Adebayo Multipurpose Hall
• 3:30 PM - Novelty Football Match at University Sports Complex

Wednesday, November 12

• 9:00 AM - Convocation Meeting at Obafemi Awolowo Auditorium
• 5:00 PM - Alumni Dinner and Awards at Afen Adebayo Multipurpose Hall

Thursday, November 13

• 9:00 AM - Award of Diplomas and Certificates
• 10:00 AM - Alumni Meeting and Lecture
• 5:00 PM - Students' Variety Show

Friday, November 14

• 8:00 AM - Project Commissioning
• 10:00 AM - Award of First Degrees and Convocation Lecture

The convocation lecture titled "Strategies and Tactics for Solving Skills Challenges in Nigeria" will be delivered by Prince Adetokunbo Kayode.

Saturday, November 15

• 10:00 AM - Award of Postgraduate Diplomas, Master's and Doctorate Degrees
• 2:00 PM - Convocation Luncheon at Vice-Chancellor's Lodge

Requirements for Graduating Students

All graduating students must participate in the academic procession wearing approved convocation gowns. Gowns will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis after payment of designated fees. Contact your School for payment procedures, invitation card collection, and rehearsal schedules.
