1 min read

Summary

FUTA SUG has issued guidance for students affected by late registration, including department upload delays and NELFUND-related payment issues.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure Students' Union has issued guidance for students affected by late registration issues in the current semester.

Students Whose Courses Were Uploaded Late

Students whose registration delay was caused by departmental course upload issues should write a formal letter through their Head of Department and Dean of Students' Affairs to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics.

The letter should explain the delay and request consideration on the late registration fee.

Students Affected by NELFUND Delays

Students whose payment delay was linked to NELFUND disbursement or withdrawal issues should also write formally through the Dean of Students' Affairs to the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Academics.

Students Yet to Pay School Fees

Students who did not pay school fees before the portal closure are still expected to pay the late registration fee. The notice states that there is no general extension of the school fees portal at this point in the second semester.

What Students Should Do Now

  • Confirm the exact reason your registration was delayed.
  • Prepare a clear formal letter if your case falls under departmental upload or NELFUND-related delay.
  • Route the letter through the required university offices.
  • Keep copies of supporting evidence, especially portal screenshots, payment attempts or NELFUND communication.
