Eligibility (summary)

• Must be a registered postgraduate student in the School of Agriculture and Agricultural Technology, FUTA.
• Minimum undergraduate CGPA of 3.5.
• International passport valid for at least nine months from September 2026.
• Must have completed the coursework for the postgraduate degree programme.
• Must obtain a prior invitation letter from one of the consortium universities before the scholarship can be awarded.
• Applicants with fewer opportunities (disability, socio-economic barriers, health issues, cultural differences) are strongly encouraged to apply.

1. Secure the invitation letter early: Contact potential hosts (supervisors or research groups) at the listed Spanish universities with a concise email, your CV, and a short research summary showing fit with their work. Explain the Erasmus mobility objective and the proposed period.
2. Prepare a strong CV and research summary: Highlight relevant research, publications, laboratory or field experience, and any collaboration that demonstrates you can complete a mobility placement.
3. Passport and travel documents: Ensure your passport meets the nine-month validity requirement from September 2026. If you need a passport, start the application or renewal immediately.
4. Academic records: Request official transcripts and degree certificates from your faculty registry early — these can take time to process.
5. Medical and insurance considerations: Budget for travel health insurance and any required medical checks. Check visa health requirements early.
6. Language and preparation: Check the host university language of instruction and consider short language courses if needed. Prepare a clear plan for what you will do during the mobility (tasks, expected outcomes).
7. Round up referees: Identify academic referees who can promptly provide recommendation letters if requested by the host.

Notes on funding & logistics

Typically, Erasmus mobility grants cover a portion of travel and living costs but do not always cover all expenses.
