FUTMINNA Hosts Inaugural SUG Presidency Week: August 25-28, 2025

The Federal University of Technology, Minna will host its first-ever SUG Presidency Week from August 25-28, 2025. This four-day event celebrates student leadership and showcases infrastructure development achieved during the current Student Union Government administration.

Event Schedule

Monday, August 25: Interfaculty Debate Competition
Faculties will compete in a structured debate competition with ₦100,000 in total prize money for winning teams. This intellectual competition tests students' argumentation skills and subject matter knowledge across disciplines.

Tuesday, August 26: CEC vs SRA Charity Football Match
The Central Executive Council (CEC) and Students' Representative Assembly (SRA) will face off in a charity football match. Proceeds from the event will support student welfare programs.

Wednesday, August 27: Leadership Summit and Awards
A leadership summit featuring guest speakers will address themes of youth leadership, entrepreneurship, and civic engagement. Outstanding students and faculty members will receive awards for their contributions to campus life.

Thursday, August 28: One Year in Office Celebration
The SUG administration will mark its first year in office by commissioning a solar-powered borehole infrastructure project. This project addresses water supply challenges faced by students in certain residential areas.
