Latest: FUTMINNA Withdraws 45 Students Over Poor Performance
Forty-five students have been withdrawn from the Federal University of Technology (FUT), Minna, the Niger State capital, for poor performance and over stay. According to the newsletter published by the Information and Publication Unit of the university, the withdrawal is with immediate effect.
The Department of Estate Management and Valuation had the highest number of withdrawals with 16 students, while; FUTMinna Withdraws 45 Students Department of Crop Production – 12. Department of Animal Production Technology – 6 Agricultural Economics and Extension (AET) – 4 Architecture – 3 Department of Water and Aquaculture Fisheries – 2 Soil Science – 1 Land Management – 1 Building Technology – 1 There were eight 100-Level students and 13 200-Level students among those sent off. So far this year, the university has withdrawn 86 poor-performing students. Forty-one students were asked to withdraw in February.

Forty-one students of the Federal University of Technology (FUT) Minna have been told to withdraw. The University Senate in its 440th meeting considered and approved the withdrawals.
Seven of the students were withdrawn for overstaying while 34 withdrew voluntarily.
The 41 students were withdrawn from 8 departments in the institution. Below are the names of the departments and the number of students withdrawn.

Earlier: 20 FUTMINNA Students Asked to Withdraw Over Academic Performance
The Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUTMINNA) has asked 20 students to withdraw from the university due to poor academic performances.
As stated in the University’s newsletter titled number 709, the decision to withdraw the students was taken at the 422nd meeting of the Senate of the university.
According to the newsletter, withdrawal of two of the students were voluntarily due to their absence from the University for two consecutive sessions without official permission while 18 others were withdrawn due to poor academic performance.
Ten of the students were from the Department of Chemical Engineering, five were from the Department of Animal Production, four from the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension Technology while the remaining one was from the Department of Crop Production.
