Summary
JAMB has extended the 2025 Direct Entry registration deadline from April 7 to allow more time for qualified candidates while investigating fraudulent credentials.
JAMB Extends 2025 Direct Entry Registration Deadline
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board has extended the registration period for 2025 Direct Entry candidates. The initial deadline of Monday, April 7, 2025 has been moved, with registration now continuing indefinitely.
What This Means for You
If you hold an A-Level, NCE, OND, or other Direct Entry qualifications and plan to gain university admission for the 2025/2026 session, you now have more time to complete your JAMB Direct Entry registration.
Visit any JAMB-accredited Professional Registration Centre to complete your registration. Bring all required documents including your qualification certificates, O-Level results, and valid identification.
Important Warning About Fraudulent Documents
JAMB announced this extension partly to complete investigations into candidates using fake credentials. The board has detection systems in place and is actively investigating students who attempt to register with fraudulent A-Level or other qualification results.
If you're considering using fake documents: don't. JAMB can detect fraudulent credentials both during registration and retroactively, even after admission. Students discovered with fake credentials face serious consequences including forfeiture of admission.
Next Steps
Register with genuine credentials at an approved centre. After registration, begin preparation for the university screening process. Practice with CBT software to familiarize yourself with the computer-based testing format used by most institutions.
Check the official JAMB website for updates on when the extended registration period will close.
