JAMB Profile Code Generation for UTME Registration

JAMB requires all prospective candidates to generate a profile code before registration. With 2026 UTME registration now open, you should generate your profile code immediately if you haven't already. A valid NIN is required.

How to Generate Your Profile Code

1. From your personal SIM, send NIN 12345678901 (replace with your 11-digit NIN) to 55019 or 66019.
2. You will receive a 10-character profile code on the same phone number within seconds.
3. Save this code carefully — you'll need it for registration.

Important: The phone number used becomes permanently tied to your JAMB profile and will be used for all official communication including results and admissions.

Fix NIMC Data Issues Before Registration

Your biodata (name, date of birth, state of origin) is pulled directly from NIMC. If any details are incorrect:

• Visit the nearest NIMC office with supporting documents
• Request data correction before attempting registration
• Wait 24-48 hours after correction before generating profile code

Common Errors and Fixes

• Error 550/66019: Your SMS format is wrong. Use the exact format: NIN 12345678901 (space between NIN and your number).
• Number already registered: The SIM is linked to another profile. Retrieve that SIM or use a new personal line.
• Unable to verify NIN: NIMC servers may be busy. Wait a few hours and try again.
• Profile code not received: Check your message inbox carefully. Try the alternative number (66019 if 55019 failed).

Biometric Warning

Avoid henna, chemicals, or injuries on your fingers in the weeks before registration and examination. Biometric verification failures can disqualify you from the exam.

1. Purchase your JAMB ePIN (₦7,700 total) from any CBT centre
2. Visit an accredited CBT centre with your profile code and ePIN
3. Complete your registration with passport photo and O'Level results
