URGENT UPDATE (February 20, 2026): Over 1.5 million candidates have registered for the 2026 UTME as of February 17. JAMB has confirmed there will be no extension of the registration deadline.
Registration centres are operating at only 30% of their daily capacity, meaning there is still room for more candidates. JAMB has the capacity to register 100,000 candidates daily.

If you have already purchased an ePIN, you have until February 28 to complete your registration at an accredited CBT centre. If you have not purchased an ePIN, you must do so before midnight on February 26.
Why JAMB Will Not Extend the Deadline
JAMB stated that the registration window is strategically scheduled to enable other examination bodies to conduct their exercises immediately afterwards. There is no room for extension.
The Board emphasized that centres have capacity to handle remaining registrations if candidates act promptly.

Compulsory Disclosure Requirement
Important: Candidates must disclose their previous admission (matriculation) status during registration. Failure to declare previous registration or matriculation will automatically invalidate your registration and any previous admission.
If you were previously admitted but wish to change institution or programme, this is allowed - but you must disclose this information during registration.
NIN Requirement
Your National Identification Number (NIN) is required for registration. Candidates with biodata issues, including discrepancies in names or dates of birth, should resolve such matters with NIMC before proceeding with registration. JAMB relies solely on data generated from NIMC.
