Kaduna State Government Scholarship Update: Beneficiary List Released, NELFUND Disbursement Pending

The Kaduna State Students' Union (KADSSU) has released an update on both the Kaduna State Government Scholarship and the NELFUND disbursement status for the 2025/2026 academic session.

Kaduna State Scholarship

The scholarship beneficiary list has been released. Students whose names appear on the list should proceed to the Bursary Unit on Monday for verification.

Important Notes for Scholarship Beneficiaries

• The Kaduna State Scholarship is non-refundable — funds are disbursed directly to the school portal
• Students who screened at SLT 1 but did not see their names should still visit the Bursary Unit for clarification
• Complete the scholarship verification process before paying school fees to avoid losing the benefit

NELFUND Update

The disbursement list for NELFUND is expected to be released soon. Once the list is published, further instructions regarding the verification process will be communicated to beneficiaries.

For Students Applying to Both

Students who applied for both the Kaduna State Scholarship and NELFUND should:

1. Complete the Kaduna State Scholarship process first
2. Wait for the NELFUND disbursement list
3. Do not pay school fees until the scholarship has been processed (since it is non-refundable once fees are settled)
