Kano State Govt Endorses Creation of More UTME CBT Centres in Five Emirates Councils of the State

The Kano State Executive Council, on Monday, endorsed the creation of Computer Based Test (CBT) centres for writing the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) of the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) in the five Emirate Councils, as zonal offices of the 44 Local Government Areas of the state.

This was disclosed by the State Commissioner for Information, Mallam Mohammad Garba, in a press statement, containing resolutions and outcome of the Council’s weekly meeting, held at the Kano Government House.

According to him, the need for the increase in the number of CBTC centres was inspired by the increasing demand, as well as to prevent a situation, whereby candidates have to be sent to neighbouring states to sit for UTME.
