Kaduna State University (KASU) has released the official academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. The calendar provides a detailed breakdown of important dates, examination periods, and semester schedules for students and staff.

First Semester Schedule

• Resumption Date: January 5, 2026
• Course Registration: December 8, 2025 – January 23, 2026 (3 weeks)
• Lectures and Continuous Assessment: January 26 – March 13, 2026 (7 weeks)
• Mid-Semester Break: March 16-22, 2026
• Final Lectures: March 23 – May 8, 2026 (6 weeks)
• Examinations and Grading: May 11-30, 2026 (3 weeks)
• Results Processing: June 1-14, 2026
• Results Release: June 15-19, 2026
• Semester Break: June 22-28, 2026

Second Semester Schedule

• Resumption Date: June 29, 2026
• Lectures and Assessment: June 29 – August 14, 2026 (7 weeks)
• Mid-Semester Break: August 17-21, 2026
• Final Lectures: August 24 – October 9, 2026 (6 weeks)
• Student Union Elections: October 12-16, 2026
• Examinations and Grading: October 19 – November 7, 2026
• Results Release: November 23-25, 2026

Important Notes for KASU Students

• Students must complete course registration within the stipulated 3-week period to avoid late registration penalties
• Mid-semester breaks are scheduled to allow students adequate rest and preparation time
• The calendar allows for comprehensive 13-week teaching periods per semester (7 weeks + break + 6 weeks)
• Student Union elections are integrated into the second semester schedule
