KASU Releases Adjusted Academic Calendar for 2024/2025 Session

Kaduna State University has published an adjusted academic calendar for the 2024/2025 session with revised examination schedules and semester timelines.

The Directorate of Academic Planning released the updated calendar affecting all students including freshers and returning students.

First Semester Timeline

Lectures and continuous assessment ran from January 27 through May 11, 2025. First semester examinations are scheduled from June 11-30, 2025.

Results will be released on July 16, 2025, followed by a break period from June 29 through July 13.

Second Semester Schedule

Second semester lectures commence July 14 and continue through October 18, 2025. This provides adequate instructional time before the examination period.

Examinations are scheduled from October 20 through November 8, 2025. Results release follows on November 26, 2025.

The end-of-session break runs from November 8, 2025 through January 4, 2026, giving students extended vacation before the new academic year.

Public Holiday Considerations

The calendar accounts for nine national public holidays including Easter, Eid celebrations, Workers' Day, Democracy Day, Independence Day, and Christmas/New Year observances.

These holidays affect lecture schedules and may require instructors to adjust their course timelines to complete required content within available teaching days.
