LASU Releases Official Academic Calendar for 2025/2026 Session

Lagos State University (LASU) has released the approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 academic session. The calendar outlines key dates for registration, lectures, examinations, and breaks for both new and returning students.

First Semester Schedule

New Students

• Registration: Monday, September 15 – Friday, October 3, 2025 (3 weeks)

Returning Students

• Resumption and Registration: Monday, October 6 – Friday, December 19, 2025

All Students

• End-of-Year Break: Monday, December 22, 2025 – Friday, January 2, 2026 (2 weeks)
• Late Registration: Monday, January 5 – Friday, January 9, 2026 (with ₦5,000 penalty fee)
• First Semester Examinations: Monday, January 12 – Friday, February 6, 2026 (4 weeks)
• Results Processing: February 9 – 27, 2026

Second Semester Schedule

• Resumption and Lectures: Monday, March 2 – Friday, May 22, 2026 (12 weeks)
• Second Semester Examinations: Monday, May 25 – Friday, June 5, 2026 (4 weeks)
• Results Processing: June 8 – July 3, 2026
• Session Break: July 6, 2026 onwards

Duration Summary

• New Students (First Semester): 24 weeks
• Returning Students (First Semester): 21 weeks
• Second Semester (All Students): 20 weeks
