LASU Updated Academic Calendar for 2025/2026 Session

Lagos State University (LASU) has released its updated and approved academic calendar for the 2025/2026 session. The calendar was approved by the University Senate following recommendation by the Committee of Provosts, Deans, and Directors.

First Semester (24 weeks for new students, 21 weeks for returning students)

• September 15 - October 3, 2025: New student registration (3 weeks)
• October 6 - December 19, 2025: Classes and returning student registration (11 weeks)
• December 22, 2025 - January 2, 2026: End-of-year break (2 weeks)
• January 5-9, 2026: Revision week and late registration with N5,000 penalty (1 week)
• January 12 - February 6, 2026: First semester examinations (4 weeks)
• February 9-20, 2026: Result grading and upload (2 weeks)
• February 23-27, 2026: Faculty review and Senate approval (1 week)

Second Semester (20 weeks)

• March 2 - May 22, 2026: Classes and registration (12 weeks)
• May 25 - June 19, 2026: Second semester examinations (4 weeks)
• June 22 - July 3, 2026: Result processing (2 weeks)
• July 6-10, 2026: Faculty corrections and processing (1 week)
• July 13-17, 2026: Senate consideration of results (1 week)
• July 20, 2026: Session break begins

Important Notes

• Late registration attracts a N5,000 penalty
• Students should adhere strictly to all deadlines
• Calendar approved by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello
