NDA extends application deadline for 78th Regular Course to May 15, 2026

The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has extended the deadline for the sale of application forms for the 78th Regular Course from 30 April 2026 to 15 May 2026. The extension is intended to give more eligible candidates time to complete their applications.

Admission is open to both male and female Nigerian candidates. Applicants are reminded that they must also register with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), select NDA as their preferred institution, and sit the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

Quick action checklist (before 15 May 2026)

• Complete and submit the NDA application form by the new closing date, 15 May 2026.
• Register for JAMB and ensure you sit the 2026 UTME. Visit the JAMB site for registration and information: jamb.gov.ng.
• Select the Nigerian Defence Academy as your first-choice institution during JAMB registration.
• Download or consult the JAMB brochure/syllabus if needed: ibass.jamb.gov.ng.
• Prepare scanned copies of required documents (O'Level results, birth certificate, ID photo). Keep originals ready for screening.
• Be ready to check admission updates and post-admission actions via the JAMB e-Facility: efacility.jamb.gov.ng.

What to prepare for after applying

• Prepare for the NDA screening processes, which may include verification of documents, physical fitness tests and interviews. Follow any guidance in the Academy’s official admission notice.
• Study past questions and relevant materials. The Academy has indicated a compendium of past questions is available at its registry (NDA Permanent Site, Afaka).
• Ensure you meet medical and physical fitness requirements that will be checked during screening.
