Niger Delta University Increases School Fees by ₦7,000 for Fresh Students

Niger Delta University (NDU) has announced a ₦7,000 fee increase for newly admitted students in the 2025/2026 academic session.

New Fee Structure

Fresh Nursing Science students now pay a total of ₦158,000, up from ₦151,000 in the previous session. This covers:

• Acceptance fees
• Development levy
• Medical examination
• Library levy
• ICT levy
• Other charges

Reason for the Increase

The university management attributed the fee adjustment to rising costs in general maintenance, equipment upkeep, and student services across the institution.

Who Is Affected

• Fresh Students: The new fee structure applies to all first-year students admitted for 2025/2026
• Returning Students: Continue with their previously approved fee amounts

1. Budget for the updated fee amount
2. Complete fee payment through the university portal
3. Keep payment receipts for registration

While the increase may concern some students given current economic conditions, the ₦7,000 adjustment is relatively modest compared to fee hikes at some other Nigerian universities.
