NECO Invites Applications from Qualified CBE Centre Operators for 2025 SSCE External

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced a call for qualified Computer-Based Examination (CBE) centre operators ahead of the 2025 November/December Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE External). This marks the organization's continued transition from paper-based to computer-based testing.

Computer System Requirements

Interested centre operators must have:

• Minimum 150 functional computer systems with 15 backup units
• 64-bit dual-core processor specifications
• 4GB RAM minimum
• 250-500GB storage
• Windows 10 or Windows 11 operating system
• Latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, or Edge browsers

Infrastructure Requirements

• Robust dedicated server supporting 150 simultaneous systems
• Redundant backup server in dedicated server room
• 220V power supply with UPS and generator backup

Facility Standards

• Minimum 150 seat capacity with adequate ventilation and lighting
• Two separate buildings (examination hall and reception area)
• 8 or more IP cameras covering premises with 60+ day recording capacity
• Serene environment location, not shared commercial spaces

Staffing Requirements

• 4 technical personnel with network engineering expertise
• 2 additional ICT support staff
• Centre manager
• Standby generator engineer
