NECO Sets 2026 NCEE Date for Federal Unity Colleges
The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that the 2026 National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) for admission into JSS 1 of Federal Unity Colleges will hold on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
Who Is Eligible
The examination is open to final-year primary school pupils who will not be more than 10 years old by September 2026.
Registration Details
- Registration opens: Monday, January 5, 2026
- Registration closes: Saturday, June 6, 2026 (9:00 a.m. on exam day)
- Fee: N5,940 per candidate
- Registration portal: NECO NCEE portal
How to Register
- Create an online account with email and phone number.
- Activate the account and make payment through approved channels on the portal.
- Enter candidate biodata (including NIN) and upload a recent passport photo.
- Print the photocard after successful registration.
Exam Structure
- Paper I: Mathematics, Basic Science and Technology, English Studies, and National Values Education
- Paper II: Quantitative Aptitude and Verbal Aptitude
Important Notes
- Payments must be made only through the NECO portal.
- Changes to exam centre, candidate name, or passport photo are not allowed after registration.
- Successful candidates may be posted to any Federal Unity College based on available spaces.
- Candidates must choose six Federal Unity Colleges, one from each geopolitical zone.
