Nigerian Institute of Journalism, NIJ convocation ceremony programmes of events has been released by the school management for the Conferment of Diplomas and Certificates as well as Conferment of Fellowship Awards and Presentation of Prizes.

The Chairman, Governing Council, Mallam Ismaila Isa OFR.mni, on behalf of the Council and the Academic Board of the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Lagos cordially invites the General Public to the 5^th Convocation of the institution.

LATEST UPDATE: Please be informed that due to a recent development, the date of the Convocation which had earlier been scheduled for the 12th of October 2021, has been postponed by the Governing Council.

A new date for it to hold this year will be announced soon.

Please note that payment for Convocation and Certificate can still be remitted into the Institution’s account.

Special Notice to Graduating Students on Payment of Convocation Fee and Collection of Academic Gowns

Graduands are expected to pay their Convocation and Certificate fee as analysed below:

NATIONAL DIPLOMA (FULLTIME & PARTTIME):

• Convocation – N15,000
• Certificate – N10,500

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA (FULLTIME & PARTTIME):

• Convocation – N20,000
• Certificate – N15,500

POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA (FULLTIME & PARTTIME):

• Convocation – N25,000
• Certificate – N20,000 

SPECIAL PROGRAMMES:

• Certificate Programmes – N10,000

GRADUANDS RECEIVING COMBINED CERTIFICATES (ND & HND or HND & PGD)

• Convocation:
  • ND/HND – N20,000 
  • HND/PGD – N25,000
