Northwest University Kano: Step-by-Step Registration Guide for Fresh Students

Northwest University, Kano has released the full registration procedure for newly admitted students for the 2025/2026 session. Registration runs from Monday, 23rd March to Saturday, 26th April 2026 and follows a four-stage process.

Stage 1: Faculty Screening & Medical Check

• Report to your faculty for credential screening (O'Level results, JAMB UTME subject verification)
• Obtain your medical certificate from the University Clinic (scheduled by faculty)

Stage 2: Portal Registration & Payment

1. Access the university portal and select "New Registration"
2. Print your payment invoice
3. Make payment via NABROLL
4. Print your official payment receipt
5. Return to your faculty with your JAMB Admission Letter, Acceptance Form, and credentials

Stage 3: Course Registration

• UTME students: Print your Course Registration Form (CRF) from the portal
• Direct Entry students: Obtain your course list from the department and upload it to the portal
• Get your Level Coordinator to authenticate your CRF

Stage 4: Final Documentation & ID Card

1. Visit the Directorate of DEAR with complete originals and four copies of all credentials
2. Proceed to the Student Affairs Division for ID card issuance
3. Complete University Library registration

• A'Level results (Direct Entry candidates)
• O'Level results
• Academic transcripts (diploma holders)
• Primary school leaving certificate or testimonial
• Birth certificate or age declaration
• Indigene identification certificate or attestation
• Completed undertaking form
• Two white-background passport photographs
• Completed screening form
• Reference letter
• Medical certificate
• Bio-data form
• Acceptance confirmation letter

Note: Original online O'Level printouts are accepted if physical certificates are not yet available.

Registration Period

23rd March to 26th April 2026. Fresh students should begin the process immediately to avoid last-minute complications.
