About Nasarawa State University (NSUK)

Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) is a young university situated in the middle belt region of Nigeria. The University has accomplished incomparable goals within its short time of birth, this is as a result of its determination and diligence in administration. Here we maximize every of our time so as to produce the best undergraduates that will not only last for the test of time but can utilize every of the available resources to produce the best result.

NSUK was established under the Nasarawa State Law No. 2 of 2001 as passed by the State House of Assembly. The University came into being under the visionary and dynamic administration of Governor (Dr.) Abdullahi Adamu (Sarkin Yakin Keffi, Aare Obateru of the source, Ile-Ife), the first democratically elected Governor of Nasarawa State. The aim of establishing the University was, fundamentally, to provide an avenue for the indigenes of Nasarawa State to pursue and acquire University education, which in the long run, would prepare the graduates, and equip them with adequate skills needed for the development of the state and the country at large.

November, 2018: FG Establishes Earthquake Observatory Centre In NSUK

Following the reports of earth tremor in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, the Federal Government selected Nasarawa State University, Keffi to host an seismological station that will monitor and predict incidents of earth quakes.
