NSUK Unbundles Mass Communication and Agriculture: What Applicants Need to Know
Nasarawa State University, Keffi (NSUK) has announced significant changes to its academic programmes, unbundling Mass Communication and Agriculture into specialized tracks. Prospective students who applied for these programmes must take immediate action.
Mass Communication Programme Changes
The former B.Sc. Mass Communication degree has been divided into four specialized programmes:
- Broadcasting
- Journalism and Media Studies
- Public Relations
- Advertising
Candidates who originally selected Mass Communication must now choose one of these specialized tracks.
Agriculture Programme Changes
The general Agriculture programme has been restructured into six distinct fields:
- Animal Science
- Agronomy
- Agricultural Economics and Extension
- Fisheries and Aquaculture Management
- Forestry, Wildlife and Ecotourism
- Home Science and Management
Estate Management Notice
The Estate Management programme is no longer offered at NSUK. Applicants who selected this course must transition to Urban and Regional Planning.
Action Required
All 2025/2026 UTME and Direct Entry candidates who applied for the discontinued programmes are required to change their course of study to one of the eligible alternatives immediately.
Important Deadline
The Post-UTME screening deadline is August 29, 2025. Participation in the screening assessment is mandatory for all candidates. Failure to update your course selection before this date may affect your admission chances.
How to Change Your Course
Candidates should:
- Log in to the JAMB portal
- Select "Change of Course" option
- Choose from the new specialized programmes
- Complete the Post-UTME registration with the updated course
