It is no longer news that most coppers try to modify their NYSC kits to their desired taste and style whenever it presents itself. The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brig. Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim, has however warned corps members to desist from defacing the NYSC uniform. He gave the warning on Wednesday, Nov. 6 when he paid an unscheduled visit to the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, in Umunna Anambra state.
The D-G warned that severe punishment would be meted out to anyone who defaced the uniform. He also cautioned them against embarking on unauthorized journeys, saying, that was the cause of the deaths most Corp members were involved in.
He also reminded the corp members the importance of regard for authority and due process.
