OAU 49th Convocation: Fees, Gown Collection, and Requirements for Graduands

Obafemi Awolowo University has released important information for graduands participating in the 49th Convocation ceremony. All eligible graduates must complete payment and material collection processes ahead of the event.

Convocation Fees by Degree Level

The University Administration has approved the following convocation charges:

• Diploma Students: ₦30,000
• Bachelor's Degrees: ₦40,000
• Postgraduate Diplomas, Masters, and MPhil: ₦45,000
• PhD: ₦60,000

Payment Method

All payments should be made through the University e-portal/Convocation Due system. Graduands must retain proof of payment as it will be required during material collection.

PhD Gown Purchase

The university has a limited number of PhD gowns available for purchase at ₦50,000 each. This includes the cap and hood. Payment should be made to:

Material Collection Requirements

All graduands must present evidence of convocation charge payment at their respective Faculties or Colleges to receive convocation materials. PhD gown collectors must bring proof of purchase payment to collect their gowns.

Graduates are advised to complete all payments and clearances early to avoid last-minute complications during the ceremony preparation period.
