PAAU Post-UTME Cut-off Mark
The minimum JAMB UTME score required is 150. This applies to all undergraduate programs at the university.
Registration Fee
The screening fee is ₦2,000. The university has kept this fee affordable as part of their effort to reduce the financial burden on candidates and their families.
Why Online Screening?
PAAU has moved to a completely online screening process for important reasons:
Financial Benefits
- No transportation costs to travel to the university
- No accommodation expenses for candidates from distant states
- No feeding costs during physical screening
- Lower registration fee compared to institutions with physical screening
Security Advantages
- Reduces risks associated with traveling long distances
- Eliminates safety concerns during physical gathering of many candidates
- Protects candidates from potential security issues on campus or during travel
Convenience
- Complete the screening from home or any location with internet
- No need to arrange time off work or school for travel
- Parents save money and worry less about children's safety
Eligibility Requirements
1. First Choice Institution
You must have selected Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba (PAAU) as your first choice institution during JAMB registration, OR you must have successfully changed your institution to PAAU through JAMB CAPS.
According to the university, "only candidates who applied or changed his/her course of study to Prince Abubakar Audu University Anyigba (PAAU) as institution of First Choice" are eligible.
2. JAMB Score Requirement
Your 2025 UTME score must be 150 or above.
3. Subject Combination
You must have written the correct JAMB subject combination for your proposed course. Each department has specific subject requirements - verify yours matches what PAAU requires for your chosen program.
4. O'Level Requirements
You need five credit passes in O'Level subjects relevant to your chosen course. This must include:
- English Language (compulsory for all courses)
- Mathematics (compulsory for most courses)
- Three other relevant subjects for your program
5. JAMB CAPS Upload
Your O'Level results must be uploaded on your JAMB CAPS profile. This is mandatory for admission consideration. If you haven't done this, visit any JAMB-accredited CBT centre before applying.
Direct Entry Applicants
If you're applying through Direct Entry, you need:
Accepted Qualifications
- National Diploma (ND): Minimum of Upper Credit
- NCE (Nigeria Certificate in Education): Minimum of Merit grade
- First Degree: From a recognized university
- Other Recognized Qualifications: As specified by your target department
Additional Requirements
- Same O'Level requirements as UTME candidates
- Relevant O'Level subject combination for your program
- Your qualification must be in a field related to your chosen program
How Admission is Scored
PAAU uses a weighted scoring system for admission:
- UTME Score: 70% weight
- O'Level Results: 30% weight
This means your JAMB score carries more weight, but strong O'Level results (especially credits obtained in one sitting) significantly improve your chances.
Departmental Cut-off Marks
The university has published detailed cut-off marks for specific departments. When you visit the registration portal, you can download the complete document showing the exact requirements for your chosen department.
Cut-off marks vary by department based on:
- Program competitiveness
- Available admission slots
- Number of qualified applicants
- Faculty capacity

Critical Reminders
Name Consistency
Make sure your name appears exactly the same on:
- JAMB registration
- O'Level results
- PAAU application
- Birth certificate
Abbreviations and inconsistencies can cause problems during verification.
Upload O'Level to JAMB
Before registering for PAAU Post-UTME, ensure your O'Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS. This is mandatory - your application may be rejected without it.
Check Subject Requirements
Different departments require different O'Level subjects. Verify that your five credits include the specific subjects required for your chosen program, not just any five subjects.
No Physical Screening
The screening is entirely online. You don't need to travel to the campus. Beware of scammers claiming you need to pay for physical screening or special arrangements.
After Registration
Once you've completed registration:
- Keep checking your email for updates
- Monitor the PAAU portal for screening instructions
- Watch your JAMB CAPS dashboard for admission status
- Respond promptly to any requests for additional information
Prepare for Success
While the screening is online, prepare adequately. Ulearngo's study platform can help you review key concepts in your subject area, giving you confidence during the screening process.
