Rivers State University Appoints Dr. Idanyingi Daminabo as Acting Registrar

Rivers State University (RSU), Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, has announced the appointment of Dr. Idanyingi I. Daminabo as Acting Registrar. The appointment took effect on December 15, 2025, following the conclusion of Dr. I. B. S. Harry's tenure as Registrar.

About the New Acting Registrar

Dr. Daminabo brings over three decades of administrative experience to the position. He was appointed as the most senior Director within the university's administrative cadre, having served as Director of the Establishment Division since 2017.

• Bachelor of Science in Sociology
• Master of Science in Sociology
• Doctorate in Human Resource Management

Professional Experience

Dr. Daminabo's career in academic administration spans nearly four decades:

• 1988: Began career at Rivers State Polytechnic, Bori as Administrative Officer II
• 1994: Transferred to Rivers State University as Administrative Officer I
• 2017: Promoted to Director rank, serving as Director of the Establishment Division
