RUGIPO Management Suspends SUG Elections Till Further Notice

The management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic (RUGIPO) has suspended the elections of the Students’ Union Government (SUG) in the institution till further notice. See details below.

At its emergency meeting of Thursday 11th February, 2021, Management received some reports pertaining to Students’ Union Government (SUG), Part-Time Students Association’s (PTSA), Students’ Representative Council (SRC) and Halls of Residence Elections.

Management carefully discussed the issues raised in the report, and decided to SUSPEND INDEFINITELY, elections into the various elective positions of the Students Union Government (SUG), Part-Time Students Association’s (PTSA), Students Representative Council (SRC) and Halls of Residence FORTHWITH.

Thus, the elections remain SUSPENDED.

To this end, I am directed to humbly convey the foregoing decision of Management for IMMEDIATE appropriate action.
